Rock Me William Rockhill Nelson started The Kansas City Star and was instrumental inmaking Kansas City a more livable city – pushing for parks and boulevards as well as bringing art and culture to the midwest. Nelson donated the land of estate after his death to the city to create a museum for the people - now known as the Nelson-Atkins Museum.
